The outrageous situation erupted at Capitol Hill in Washington DC, USA, where Trump supporters were going berserk in election rally because Congress was planning to confirm that President-elect Joe Biden won the election. Amidst the chaos, an unarmed woman was shot in the neck by DC Metropolitan police officer, who later died.
A disturbing video of the women, who was shot in Capitol Building premises on Wednesday is doing the rounds on the internet. This occurred subsequently when President Trump supporters attempted to disrupt the certification of the presidential election.
The short 30-second clip posted to Twitter captures the sound of a single gunshot, then shows the unidentified woman, wearing a Trump flag, collapsing on the floor. The woman was transported from the Capitol before 3 P.m. Under what circumstances it occurred was not clear.
It is learnt that Congress recessed from its joint session after anger broke out at pro-Trump rally just outside the Capitol. Soon Vice president Mike Pence, who was presiding over the session was instructed to evacuate from the house chamber. Other Journalists, members and aides were given shelter and been compelled to wear gas masks as authorities sprayed the tear gas to evacuate the crowds.
In the video law enforcement officers apparently were blocking the door as mob breached the security by breaking the glass and barged inside. Tight security has been beefed up. Later, DC Mayor ordered 6 p.m curfew amid protests.
