The Centre is planning to appoint two separate governors for the Telugu states, and the process regarding this, has already been started by the home department. The Chief Ministers of both the states have been informed about the decision. The plans are on to construct Raj Bhavan in Amaravati.
ESL Narasimhan was appointed as the Governor in 2009, in Congress regime. But even after BJP forming the government in 2014, Prime Minister Narendra Modi still continued him as the governor. As Narasimhan has completed 10 years in office, the Centre is planning to make himstep down from the position and appoint him as an Advisor on Jammu & Kashmir affairs.
