It is already known that Twitter’s new CEO Elon Musk announced that the platform would provide the blue tick for its users after paying a fee of $8 per month. After the verification, the blue tick will appear for the users who pay the mandated amount.
Now, some people in India have received Twitter Blue access for Rs 719 per month, equivalent to $8.9 approximately. This comes just days after the micro-blogging site rolled out the service in the US for a fee of $8 per month.
While it is $8 per month in the US, it cost $8.9 approximately in India. With this, several people slammed the company for keeping the price higher in India compared to the US. However, Musk already said that the subscription pack would be “adjusted by country proportionate to purchasing power parity”.
By availing the blue tick subscription, Elon Musk said that users would get priority in reach and display on Twitter. The CEO also revealed that if anyone misuses Twitter Blue, they will lose their money and their accounts will be permanently suspended.
