It is known that billionaire Elon Musk has acquired the social media giant Twitter Inc for a whopping $44 billion recently. The Tesla CEO now said that the micro-blogging site will always be free for normal users but may charge a slight fee for commercial and government users.
“Twitter will always be free for casual users, but maybe a slight cost for commercial/government users,” Musk said in a tweet.
The Space X CEO has been suggesting many changes to the company since last month. After adding Twitter to his cart recently, Elon said he wanted to improve the platform with unique features, make the algorithms open source to improve trust, defeat spam bots, and authenticate all humans.
The paid for extra service will include features such as an “undo tweet” button, bookmarks, and a reader mode, Twitter said.
