It is an open secret that both TV5 and ABN are in support of one big political party of Andhra Pradesh. When YSRCP formed the government in the state, in the swearing-in ceremony itself, Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has warned both the channels that he would go against those, if they report fake news to the public.
But it seems, the government has found no change in the reporting style of both the news channels and so imposed a ban now. The Ministers have reportedly warned cable operators to block the broadcast of both these channels with immediate effect!
TDP Chief Chandrababu Naidu is best known for his media management. Even when the YSRCP wave was clearly felt during the AP elections, most of the popular TV channels predicted TDP’s victory.

In fact, not only in AP, even during Telangana assembly elections, all the channels were in support of Mahakutami, in which TDP was part of. For the series of positive reports of Mahakutami, at a point of time, even the public was confused that the power may slip off from the TRS hands. But Mahakutami terribly failed in the elections, proving that the media is just trying to manipulate the public minds.
The media also faced jolt from the Telangana Chief Minister KCR in the past and even Jagan now went against the TV channels. So if the TV channels wish to survive, the only option they have is to either convince the current government or wait till the TDP attains power.
