Ever since the Taliban took over Afghanistan, the country has been facing a severe economic and political crisis, leaving many qualified professionals in the nation in poverty.
A recent Twitter post by Kabir Haqmal, who earlier worked with the Hamid Karzai government, shows the dire condition of an Afghan journalist named Musa Mohammadi.
Musa Mohammadi, who worked for years as an anchor and reporter in different television channels, now has no income to feed his family. In order to escape his terrible economic situation, he started selling street food to earn some money.
The story of Mohammadi, which is going viral on the internet, has caught the attention of Ahmadullah Wasiq, the Director-General of National Radio and Television. In his tweet, Mr Wasiq mentioned that he will appoint the former TV anchor and reporter to his department.
