The current TTD board chairman, Subba Reddy, who was renominated as the TTD trust board chairman in August 2021, after the successful completion of his first term of two years in June 2021, is said to have told CM Jagan that he wishes to resign from the post and focus on the upcoming elections instead, as he’s been appointed as the party in-charge for Visakhapatnam.
Jagan is also said to have immediately accepted this proposal, and is even said to be in the search for the right replacement. Tirupati MLA Bhumana Karunakar Reddy and Chandragiri MLA and board member Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy are said to be the two people under consideration for the role.
Despite that, it is being said that the chances of Janga Krishna Murthy from Gurajala in Palnadu district getting the post are higher, as he’s a BC leader. Given that elections ade just a year away, it is being said that Jagan would want to avoid any comments that would say that he’s biased towards the Reddy community, and appointing a BC leader would also increase his vote bank.
