The tonsured hair of devotees from Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam has created a stir in AP. It is reported that the Mizoram police had seized around 120 bags of hair recently at the borders.
They said that these 120 bags of hair was being smuggled to China through Myanmar. In this context, most of the media channels have published that the hair that Mizoram police caught belongs to TTD.
However, TTD dismissed all these allegations and currently, it is planning to file a defamation case against Andhra Jyothi print media for publishing this.
Speaking to the media, TTD Additional Executive Officer, AV Dharma Reddy made it clear that these allegations were false and baseless.
He said that there is a perfect system in TTD for the storing and transporting of tonsured hair of devotees. This is going to be the second defamation case being filed against Andhra Jyothi by TTD.
