Srinivas Reddy, a TSRTC bus driver, working for Khammam depot, has passed away, while undergoing the treatment in a private hospital.
The TSRTC employees have been protesting against the state government, demanding to merge TSRTC with the government. But the TRS government is not in a mood to listen to any of their demands and adding to it, Telangana Chief Minister KCR also dismissed over 48000 employees, who neglected his warning.
But the TSRTC employees seem uncompromising and are taking the movement to the next level, with each day passing. Srinivas Reddy tried to commit suicide by self-immolating, saying that it is alright, if anything happens to him, as the happiness of RTC workers and their families is more important to him, than his life. He was later shifted to the hospital, but lost his life, during the treatment.
Reddy is known for his inspirational values. He sent both of his sons into the army, to serve the country and he sacrificed his life for the welfare of the RTC employees. Watching him committing suicide, another driver Venkateshwarlu attempted the same, but the fellow RTC employees around, saved him.
The suicide has intensified the protest of RTC employees, who is now strictly going against the Telangana Chief Minister KCR.

It should be noted that similar kind of self immolation was performed during Telangana statehood movement. KCR, who launched the TRS party out of such movement, has no other option, other than bowing down his head for the RTC employees. Otherwise, the situations are expected to get worse, soon.
