Ok Fine..! If we get straight into the point, the AP government has become a close relative to the judicial system these days. Though both courts are not showing any love towards Jagan, he has to visit them every now and then. After the High court issued orders to counter the petition on the ‘stay’ issued by them on the implementation of the AP capital decentralization bill, the AP government needs to handle an issue with the Telangana government in Supreme Court.
The Telangana governed approached the supreme court filing a petition to cancel the approval of the construction of the Rayalaseema lift irrigation project and also appealed to them to stop the ongoing tender process immediately. Jagan issued a G.O previously for this Rayalaseema project which makes sure to get enough water to 6 districts in AP from the backwater of the Srisailam project that is situated on Krishna River.
Telangana government argues that this construction of the Rayalaseema project will affect the irrigation works of the Palamuru-Rangareddy project badly and the people of Telangana will face water scarcity eventually. The Krishna rive board already issued orders not to start any new projects without the permission of the Apex council but Jagan seems to have violated this rule as the Apex Council is all set to discuss with two CMs in a meeting that is going to happen in a few hours.
In the meanwhile, TG government who seems to be not interested in this meeting approached the Supreme Court citing the Rayalaseema project construction as an illegal activity. Given the recent history of Jagan with the courts, this is really a worrying sign for the YSRCP supremo.
