The Telangana Rashtra Samithi established itself as a power to be reckoned with, ever since a separate Telangana state was established, way back in 2014. The same kind of majority continued for the party in the 2019 general elections as well.
However, the situation in the state, and especially for the TRS party has changed with the Dubbaka by-elections. The TRS lost out on the seat that belonged to it before the by-elections. This was termed as a great loss for the party, and the BJP started its victory from these by-elections, in a very surprising way.
The GHMC elections also turned out to be a sour experience for the TRS party, with the party winning fewer seats when compared to the previous elections, and the BJP winning a major chunk of the seats.
This experience is said to be causing a lot of tension for the TRS party members now, with everyone trying their best to come up with a solution, so as to make sure that the party continues to be ruling.
Campaigning for the next general elections is already said to be underway by a lot of people, and it is being said that the TRS is also trying to come up with the best possible manifesto as it can.
