Former Health Minister of Telangana, Etala Rajendar has constantly been in the news for the last few weeks, after a few members belonging to the SC, ST community lodged a complaint on the Minister, stating that he forcefully occupied their lands. He was first removed as the Health Minister and then dismissed from the Aseembly itself, stripping him of the post of Minister as well.
For the last few days, Etala has been staying in New Delhi and is expected to be back in Hyderabad on Thursday night, along with former MLA Enugu Ravinder Reddy. On Friday morning, Etala is expected to meet his followers, discuss his next steps with them, and give in his resignation papers, disassociating himself with TRS. However, in the meantime, it is being reported that the TRS administration is expected to fire Etala from the party, on the grounds of indiscipline, irregularities and joining hands with political rivals.
On the other hand, Etala is expected to join the Bharatiya Janata Party on June 8th. He would have joined the party by now, but the BJP has a strict rule of not admitting anyone until they have resigned to their posts in other parties. Ravinder Reddy and former Karimnagar Zilla Parishad chairperson Tula Uma are also expected to join the BJP along with Etala.
