TRS continued to clean sweep in the mini municipal elections held in Telangana. TRS won in two corporations and in five municipalities where the elections were held. The BJP has given some competition in the Warangal Municipal Corporation.
The Warangal corporation has a total of 66 divisions. Out of these, TRS won up to 50 divisions. The counting has been slow as voting has occurred through the ballot papers system. TRS became victorious even in Khammam Corporation. The TRS won the five municipalities namely Siddipet, Jadcharla, Achanpeta, Kothuru, and Nakirekal municipalities.
In Achanpeta and Kothuru, however, Congress gave tough competition to TRS. CM KCR also paid special attention to these mini municipal elections. Although he tested positive for Corona, he gave directions to his party leaders.
