Politics is a funny game. At least as dramatic it seems. The GHMC polls are about to happen in 5 days and the BJP, TRS, MIM and Congress are campaigning extensively in all parts of the greater city. The Greater fight has reached the whole next level. With polling set to take place on December 1st, leaders of all parties are flooding the city with criticisms and allegations on the others to impress voters.
MIM MLA Akbaruddin Owaisi made sensational remarks as part of this election campaign. Akbaruddin Owaisi made sensational remarks that the tombs of PVi Narasimha Rao and NTR near Hussain Sagar should be demolished. He said that the Hussain Sagar was once spread in over 4,700 acres and now it is only situated in 700 acres. If KCR wants to make new constructions, he needs to demolish the tombs of PV and NTR near Hussain Sagar.
Telangana IT Minister, TRS Working President KTR responded to the controversial remarks made by MIM MLA Akbaruddin Owaisi. He condemned the comments made by the Majlis MLA and said that these two leaders are also dignitaries who upheld the dignity of the Telugu people. One has been in public service for a long time as Prime Minister and the other as Chief Minister. “Inappropriate remarks on such legends are really disgustful,” added KTR. KTR tweeted that there is no place for such comments in a democracy.
Interestingly, BJP state president Bandi Sanjay Strong also countered remarks made to demolish NTR, PV’s graves on Hussain Sagar. He was addressing a campaign rally of Ameerpet corporator candidates in the city on Wednesday. “Do you dare to demolish the PV tomb on Hussain Sagar, the tomb of NTR? BJP activists will demolish the Darussalam within two hours of the demolition of PV NTR graves,” fumed Sanjay, He also said that TRS leaders were not accepting the challenges posed by MIM. He said the BJP would win in Hyderabad if all Hindus became a single vote bank.
