The GHMC elections are turning out to be more crucial and chaotic than the general elections that took place a year ago. Several places all over the city have become the centers of chaos, and there’s a lot of havoc wreaked over several places throughout the city, with parties at war with each other.
At Banjara Hills and Kukatpally, members of the TRS and BJP clashed with each other over trivial issues. In Banjara Hills, members of the BJP blamed members of the TRS for wearing pink cloth strips around their wrists, while the members of the TRS blamed the members of the BJP for wearing saffron masks.
The two groups attacked each other near Forum Mall in Kukatpally. In that same order Minister Puvvada Ajay Kumar’s card was attacked. The angry BJP leaders have attacked minister Puvvada Ajay Kumar’s convoy and broke his car’s windshield.
On the other hand, several people are said to have called the SEC call center, to express concerns over not being able to exercise their right to vote due to the authorities at the polling booths in Kapra, Kushaiguda and Cherlapally. In old Malakpet, re-polling has been called for, as there have been severe errors in the ballot papers, where a person belonging to CPI has been put against CPM.
Voters in Jiyaguda are expressing concerns over several missing votes, and are saying that the authorities at the polling booths have done this, in association with the leading TRS party.
In Chandrayangutta, voters have said that their names are missing from the booths, and have even said that their names have been transferred to others, despite having cast their votes in the same place for over 30 years.
