The political situation and the stance of media houses towards Pawan Kalyan and his party Jana Sena have drastically changed after Pawan’s speech at Republic’s pre-release event. Pawan made a strong statement in his speech, pointing out that no media channel is behaving responsibly, always prying on gossips and news that doesn’t really matter, instead of covering top-priority news pieces. It is also a known fact that Pawan’s Jana Sena gets the least bit of coverage from the media, for various reasons, including the fact that all media houses are wary of the actions that the ruling party might take against them.
All of these seem to have now come to an end, with almost every media channel in Telugu broadcasting Pawan’s speech from Mangalagiri yesterday, without any interruptions. This is despite the numerous phone calls that are said to have been made to all media channels, from Tadepalli, asking them to stop telecasting Pawan’s speech. Media channels have reportedly informed the people behind these phone calls that it wasn’t possible to stop telecasting the speech, as they had been telecasting the speech until then.
On the other hand, AP minister Perni Nani scheduled his meeting with Tollywood’s producers around the time that Pawan was initially supposed to have given his speech, at around 12:30 PM, but due to some reasons, Pawan had to postpone his speech to after 4 PM, and likewise, Nani too postponed his media address accordingly. Yet, there was no use, with every media channel rushing to showcase Pawan, and whose speech, thus, reached the people of Andhra Pradesh, loud and clear. There is a popular belief that Pawan lost the way he did in 2019, due to the poor media coverage he’s got. All in all looks like Pawan has managed to turn the tables, despite the many criticisms and abuses he’s been getting from YSRCP, and people affiliated with the party, like actor Posani Krishna Murali.
