Transfer Trimurthulu is a 2026 Telugu-language action thriller written by Vadde Naveen & Kamal Teja Narla and is directed by Kamal Teja Narla. The film has Vadde Naveen & Rashi Singh playing the lead roles. At the same time, Shilpa Tulaskar, Vivek Raghuvansi, Raghu Babu, Sivannarayana, Vadlamani Srinivas, Jwala Koti, Devi Prasad, Surya, Baba Baskar, Pramodini, Sathwic Raju, Anjali Priya, Gayatri Chaganti, Baby Uha & others are seen in important supporting roles. The music is composed by Kalyan Nayak. The film is produced by Vadde Naveen under Vadde Creations LLP banner.

Story:

Trimurthulu (Vadde Naveen) is an honest police constable who leads a simple life with his wife, Lakshmi (Rashi Singh) and daughter Ravali (Baby Uha). Known as “Transfer Trimurthulu” for his integrity and sincerity, he is frequently transferred from one place to another for refusing to compromise on his principles and duties.

One day, Trimurthulu is transferred to a village near Araku, where his father had served as a constable during his childhood. While working at the local police station, he discovers an old FIR copy that had been secretly hidden by his late father. The document is linked to a serious crime involving the son of an influential politician.

What exactly is the case mentioned in the FIR? How is Trimurthulu’s father connected to it? And how does Trimurthulu uncover the truth and bring justice? The answers unfold in the film.

What about on-screen performances?

Vadde Naveen gives a sincere performance in the lead role as Trimurthulu. The innocence in his real-life persona works in favour of the film. He works very hard with his dances and has put in a lot of effort with the action sequences, which is appreciable. It is very refreshing to see him back on big screens after a long gap, but it would be even better if he comes up with out-and-out content-oriented films, rather than going after regular commercial-oriented scripts.

Rashi Singh gets an image makeover from her previous glamorous role, and she does an excellent job in her limited scenes. She perfectly fits the part as a homely housewife and does well as Lakshmi.

Baby Uha, who plays the lead pair’s daughter, impresses with her funny lines and delivers an adorable act.

Shilpa Tulaskar, who plays the female politician and Vivek Raghuvansi as her son, are fine in their negative shaded roles, but their scenes needed better writing and having known faces for their parts could’ve made a big difference to the film.

Baba Baskar leaves a mark in a key cameo towards the end.

Raghu Babu, Sivannarayana, Vadlamani Srinivas, Jwala Koti, Devi Prasad, Surya, Pramodini, Sathwic Raju, Anjali Priya, Gayatri Chaganti, Gayatri Bhargavi and all others are good in their supporting parts.

What about off-screen talents?

The story by Kamal Teja Narla is very routine with a familiar plot line revolving around an honest constable who solves a high-profile case by taking on the system. In fact, the film has a plot that is very similar to Puri-Jr.NTR’s “Temper” but with the different characterisations and a political angle.

The screenplay by Vadde Naveen & Kamal Teja Narla is not so engaging and very predictable. The biggest drawback is the emotional angle in the film. The whole father sentiment didn’t work as expected, and the sensitive case that is dealt with in the film needed more seriousness. Also, the villain characterisations are very weak. There should have been at least one confrontation scene to make the rivalry more interesting.

The first half is filled with unwanted comedy bits and a routine family angle. The actual story picks up from the political meeting scene, which is handled brilliantly. The pre-interal portions are fine and create decent curiosity. The second half also starts on an ordinary note, but it gets better as the investigation goes forward. The hospital scene where Trimurthulu takes the help of his fellow constables and the climax twist in the court scenes will be treated with whistles, and the film ends on a happy note.

Director Kamal Teja Narla does a mediocre job with his presentation. The way he narrates the film is completely outdated, and his casting choices, especially for the supporting actors, are poor. But to give due credit, he has handled a few portions quite neatly. The entire political meeting sequence in the first half and the climax portions are the best parts of the film.

The dialogues are not up to the mark. The comedy lines of the kidnappers in the first half felt silly, and the lines in the court scenes are weak.

Music director Kalyan Nayak’s work is one of the film’s biggest strengths. The songs are catchy and foot-tapping, while the situational tracks used during key moments are well-composed and effective. His background score is particularly impressive, elevating the film’s important scenes and enhancing their overall impact.

The cinematography by Karthik Sujatha Saikumar is too good. He gives the film the much-needed scale in the limited budget, and his framing is on point.

The edit by Vijay Mukthavarapu is sharp, especially in the second half. But there are a few scenes which could’ve been trimmed, too. For example, the comedy portions in the first half and the court portions towards the end are a few.

The artwork by Bhikshapati Kandakatla and the costumes by Shravya Reddy are decent.

The action choreography by Vijay Polaki & Dinesh and the action choreography by Rabin Subbu & Ram Sunkara are done well.

The production values by Vadde Naveen are adequate.

What’s Hot?

* Vadde Naveen’s Performance
* Superb Background Score & Good Songs
* Cinematography & Production Values
* Political Meeting Scene & Fight Sequences
* Climax Twist & Decent Second Half

What’s Not?

* Routine Plot Line & Predictable Screenplay
* Ordinary First Half With Outdated Comedy
* Dialogues Needed Better Writing
* Court Scenes Could’ve Been Better
* Weak Villain Characters
* Poor Casting

Verdict: Overall, Transfer Trimurthulu is a routine action thriller that might have clicked better had it arrived in the 2000s. While it serves as a decent comeback vehicle for veteran actor Vadde Naveen, whose sincere performance is one of the film’s strengths, the outdated storytelling and old-fashioned presentation hold it back.
