A shocking incident, where a traffic policeman dragged on the bonnet of a car for nearly 400 metres came to light from a CCTV footage. He is found to have attempted to abruptly stop the vehicle that was ramming on a busy road in Delhi.
Mahipal, an on-duty Traffic Police man in Delhi’s Dhaula Kuan area was doing his duty along with other cops. Reportedly, during this time, he stumbled across a car with a fancy number plate, which he tried to stop as it violated the rules. But the driver amped up the speed rather than stopping the car.
In the video, he was seen clinging onto the bonnet of the Hyundai i20 car in heavy traffic. The cop had a close shave from speeding vehicles before falling on the road. His legs nearly missed getting crushed under the wheels of the car driven by the offender as other vehicles drove past him.
The unabashed driver committed not only a traffic rule violatio but a crime too. In the double road high way, the car which traveled for long distance stopped with a break and soon the traffic personnel fell down. He was luckily found safe with no injuries.
The driver of the car, Shubham, along with his friend was nabbed later. An FIR has been lodged against the driver by the Delhi Police.
