Looks like Hyderabad is witnessing a tough Dussera season. While most of the people working in Hyderabad are from the coastal regions, Dussera and Pongal are considered to be the busiest seasons for Railways and bus operators.
Railway tickets are hard to get in these seasons and people prefer to take bus tickets as an alternative. Even bus operators will hike the ticket price in these seasons and this time, due to the RTC strike, the ticket prices for private buses were on peaks. More over, KCR’s government is allowing private buses to RTC bus depots in replacement for the RTC buses and taking the help of retired and private bus drivers.
Responding to this, RTC employees took charge on the private buses and were restricting them from functioning. 144 section was issued in few areas and few RTC employees were arrested as well. Tough Dussera for people living in Hyderabad.
