After “Pushpa 2: The Rule,” there’s a lot of buzz about what Allu Arjun will do next. Since his fantasy movie with Trivikram Srinivas is delayed, there’s talk of him doing a pan-India project with director Atlee, and the script is already said to be ready. But rumors say Sun Pictures backed out because they weren’t sure if spending over ₹600 crores would pay off. Now, there’s news that producer Dil Raju might step in.
Though Allu Arjun has a strong market presence, not all his movies may perform like “Pushpa,” but he has shown he can generate at least ₹500–₹600 crores from various sources. But the director he works with plays a big role in the movie’s success. Atlee’s “Jawan” was a blockbuster, but Baby John, for which he is the producer affected his current market position.
Coming to Dil Raju, reports say he isn’t just stepping in for this project but is also discussing future collaborations. Before “Pushpa,” Allu Arjun had announced a movie called “Icon” with Venu Sriram but shelved it. He did promise to work on another story later. If Sun Pictures leaves, it wouldn’t be surprising to see Dil Raju and Geetha Arts teaming up for this movie.
