Minister for Transport and Information and Public Relations Perni Venkataramaiah Nani today met filmmakers, distributors, exhibitors and theatre owners to review the online ticketing policy for movies in Andhra Pradesh.
Producers Council President C. Kalyan, Film Chamber Secretary Damodar Prasad, producers DVV Danayya and Rama Satyanarayana, distributors and theatre owners were present at the meeting.
As per the schedule, the meeting was to be held with Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. Megastar Chiranjeevi and other film personalities should attend it. However, due to some unavoidable reasons, it was not possible.
Chiranjeevi said that only a few people from the industry met Minister Nani and they would discuss the issue of selling movie tickets online in Andhra Pradesh. The veteran actor said they will meet the CM later, and the date of which has not been announced yet.
The meeting is focused on the problems faced by the film industry due to the Covid-19 pandemic, primarily the online ticketing system. It seems that the decision will be announced after discussing with the stakeholders on the online tickets.
