South siren Samantha Ruth Prabhu has been in the news for many reasons lately. One of the main reasons is her separation from actor husband, Naga Chaitanya. Popularly known as ChaySam, the duo was one of the most influential couples down the South. But, giving a huge shock to their fans, Samantha and Chaitanya announced their separation in October.
The duo took to their respective social media accounts and issued statements. A part of it read, “After much deliberation and thought, (we) have decided to part ways as husband and wife to pursue our own paths.”
However, the sultry diva has spoken nothing about her divorce since then. But breaking the silence over the issue, Sam has now opened up about her separation from Chay and revealed that initially, she thought she would ‘crumble and die’.
In a new interview, Samantha also said that she is ‘very very proud’ of how strong she is. “I know I’m still going to live my life and with all the issues that I now faced in my personal life, I was surprised at how strong I was. I thought I was a much weaker person. I thought that with my separation, I would crumble and die. I didn’t think I was capable of being this strong…Today I’m very very proud of how strong I’m because I really didn’t know I was,” she said.
