Not much to the shock of many, Tholu Bommalata is betting big on the family emotions. The first half of the film has totally concentrated on the same line. Children are concerned about the parents, only if they have some properties and wealth, is what the basic story line of Tholu Bommalata.
The narration is slow, which may not go well with the audience. Vennela Kishore is the only savior of the entire first half. He evokes good laughs with his comic timing. His presence is thoroughly felt on the screen.
