Bharatiya Janata Party has made it a mission to evolve as the main opposition in Andhra Pradesh by 2024 elections at any cost and for that they have a very good aid in the form of the Janasena Party. They are going berserk on the Telugu Desam Party and their supremo Nara Chandra Babu Naidu and reasonably being vocal on YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and his government.
They have moved what it is said to be the right piece at the moment as Daggubati Purandeswari, daughter of TDP founder N.T Rama Rao, fondly called Chinnamma has got a good place in BJP as the National General secretary. It has been 6 years since she joined the party and this is the grand recognition for her since her existence in politics.
Earlier in 2009, she got thumping majority when contested with the encouragement of YS Rajasekhara Reddy from Visakhapatnam. She also became a Central Minister eventually. But, in the year 2019, she couldn’t even get the deposits when contested as BJP candidate from Visakhapatnam. That’s all about Jagan’s storm in the state but this time BJP is very determined to reduce Jagan’s authority in many parts of the state.
This placing of Chinnamma in a good position might give BJP a chance to develop a stronghold on Vizag and Northern Andhra Pradesh. Both Jagan and CBN who are already irked about BJP’s interference in the Northern Andhra politics these days had no clue about this calculated move from the Saffron Party. Let’s see how this pays for them.
