While it was announced that the BJP and the Jana Sena will be announcing a joint candidate for the Tirupati by-polls, the announcement of the candidate has not been made yet.
In the meantime, there are several rumors about who the candidate could possibly be. The name of former IAS officer Dasari Srinivasulu is doing the rounds ever since the meeting between Pawan Kalyan and BJP National President JP Nadda came to an end yesterday.
As of now, there’s no clarity over which party Dasari belongs to, because of which there’s a lot of speculation. Some say that Dasari belongs to BJP, while the others say that Dasari belongs to Jana Sena. Despite these rumors, it is still not clear about who the joint committee is going to finalise as the final candidate.
On the other hand, several sources reveal that the BJP is trying its best to make sure they manage to dominate the elections, and that the Jana Sena does not have much say in anything.
While the BJP and Jana Sena are yet to decide their candidate, the YSRCP has announced Dr. Gurumurthy as their candidate. Gurumurthy is the personal physiotherapist of Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy. When everyone thought that the YSRCP would announce a family member of Balli Durga Prasad Rao as the candidate for the elections, the announcement of Gurumurthy came as a total shock.
The TDP has announced Panabaka Lakshmi as their candidate, and she is expected to start campaigning very soon for the elections.
