Corona Pandemic has shaken the world economy to unexplainable levels and most of the deaths occurred due to the lack of knowledge on this not-so-dangerous virus. Many developed countries like Italy failed to educate and bring awareness among their people and that resulted in severe loss of lives.
So, an Indian girl who is studying at Harvard University, U.S.A wanted to sort out this critical situation and her unique thought is creating sensations in social media and digital media as well.
It is known that many Indians from various states have settled in the United States and this girl named Pooja Chandra Sekhar, along with her 150 membered medical team translated the fact sheets of the Covid-19 into 30 languages.
Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Bengali, Punjabi, Marathi, Urdu are some of the prominent languages in this list and the people who have their mother tongue from the above languages are largely benefitted form the innovation of this young lad.
Pooja claimed that translation of the vital information about Covid-19 in all know languages is her ultimate goal and these fact sheets include topics about what is the corona, its prevention, organization, precautions to be taken and the precaution measure to be taken by the pregnant women.
So far 9,077 positive cases were registered in America and 145 people were dead.
Many of us are asking how we can meaningfully contribute to #COVID19 efforts as medical students.
Sharing an initiative I'm leading @HarvardMed: the COVID-19 Health Literacy Project.
There has been a real lack of accessible health information available in different languages.
