Ravishing beauty Shweta Basu Prasad has kick-started her acting career at the young age of 11 and took home a National Film Award for Best Child Actress for her debut film Makdee (2002). In 2008, she ventured into South Indian industry, with the Telugu film Kotha Bangaru Lokam, which proved to be a super hit, catapulting Shweta to instant stardom.
After that, she worked in a few Telugu films such as Ride, Kalavar King, Kasko, etc. Moreover, she is also known for her script works, assistant director and Television shows.
Now, after following long hiatus from the Telugu industry, she is all set to hit the Tollywood circuit again. But, not as an actress!
Sources say that Shweta Basu Prasad is busy with scripting some stories and she is in plans to make films in Telugu.
“She really wants to come back to Hyderabad, and start afresh. Age is on her side so, it shouldn’t be a problem,” a source close to the star revealed.
However, the best news is perhaps from director Teja, who has confirmed that he’s offering the actress a role in a yet-to-be-titled project starting soon.
Rumors in the industry are rife that one of the young producers is keen on working with Shweta Basu Prasad. More details are awaited regarding the same.
