YS Vivekananda Reddy’s murder sent shock waves in Andhra Pradesh political circles, with everyone wondering who murdered the minister. Fingers were pointed at the then CM Chandrababu Naidu, and an investigation was ordered into the murder. After Viveka’s daughter was unhappy with the way the SIT was conducting the investigation, the case was handed over to the CBI, who made a lot of progress in the case.

The CBI officials arrested two people in connection with the murder of former minister YS Vivekananda Reddy. Uma Shankar Reddy’s remand report has highlighted several key points in the case. According to the reports, it is claimed that there is evidence of the role of Sunil Yadav and Uma Shankar Reddy in Viveka’s murder case. Their inquiry revealed that there was a conspiracy angle between the two in the murder case. Sunil Yadav explained that the role of Uma Shankar Reddy became clear in the inquiry, with Viveka’s former driver Dastagiri’s statement clearly revealing the fact that Uma Shankar Reddy had a role to play in the murder.

Before Viveka was murdered, his dog at his house was hit by a car by Sunil Yadav and Uma Shankar Reddy. Later on, Sunil Yadav and Uma Shankar Reddy took a pulsar bike to murder Viveka. Uma Shankar Reddy fled the site with an axe in the pulsar bike. The bike and axe were seized by the authorities, and a forensic report is also said to have been brought in from Gujarat, according to the remand report. On the 11th of last month, searches were conducted in Uma Shankar Reddy’s house, and two shirts are said to have been seized. The CBI revealed that weapons are to be seized, and the CBI officials have filed a petition requesting Uma’s custody for 5 days.
