It is knwon that the strange disease that hit the Eluru people and left hundreds of victims creating terror in the Godavari districts. The people are terrified to drink muniicipal water until the reason for the outbreak of the disease is explained. Under these critical circumstances some lab investigations from the sample were revealed. It is known that the Eluru epidemic in the wake of the corona pandemic has been discussed world wide.
Doctors initially concluded that patients with the disease had symptoms similar to those caused by the presence of metals such as lead and nickel in their blood in excess. However, Delhi’s AIIMS doctors say they are conducting further research on the matter. On the other hand, it is firmly believed that the disease is caused by contaminated water. It is against this backdrop that what the groundwater department officials have said about this strange disease.
According to the groundwater department, people have contracted the strange disease due to high levels of chlorine in the water. The groundwater department, which tested water samples in Eluru, has declared high levels of chlorine in drinking water. Municipal tap water samples were also tested and found to contain overdose of chlorine. The results were announced after samples were collected and tested at 12 locations in the affected areas.
Authorities also revealed another intersting news. They said that the Liquor bottles were found near the water supply tank, and staff suspected of adding high doses of chlorine to the water being drunk. Scientists from the National Institute of Nutrition (NIS) have examined several samples of vegetables, water, milk, rice oil in some parts of Eluru. In Eluru and Krishna district, they found harmful chemicals and pesticide residues in the water of Godavari canals.
The shocking fact is that the water contained 17.84 milligrams of methoxycler, which has to be usually less than 0.001 milligrams. Medical experts warn that the water in the vicinity of Eluru contains 17640 times more methoxycler and that drinking this type of water increases the risk of cancer in the long run. All these details will be revealed to CM Jagan by the officials and medical experts.
