The number of Covid-19 positive cases in India has been growing exponentially which a very worrying sign even after successfully implementing the national lockdown. It seems like the prolongation of the Lockdown period is inevitable. So, apart from the extension of the Lockdown period, the Central Government took a very crucial decision to curb the growth in the number of virus victims.
Between January 18 and March 23, about 15 lakh people came to India from other countries. If at least one-third of them possess the virus, that number is capable to created enough blood bath in our country. As the Government has already received this long list of the details of this 15 lakh passengers from the immigration department, they started to identify these people in various states.
After tracing those people, the Government clearly indicated the officials to separate them immediately and extract the information of their whereabouts till now and the information of the possible persons who got contacted with them in the mean period.
Hence, the head of the Covid-19 crisis management group, Rajiv Gouba directed all the state government officials to track the people and monitor them with dedicated teams. So the officials should prepare a tracking report of these 15 lakh individuals and any negligence and tiredness in this process can cost thousands of lives.
