Telangana Chief Minister KCR, who wanted to see a third front to form the government under his leadership in 2019. With the BJP-led NDA winning more than 350 MP seats in the Lok Sabha elections, there was a significant setback. Winning only 9 out of 17 seats in Telangana is even more embarrassing for the TRS supremo. The BJP and the Congress left the TRS Chief by occupying 4 MP and 3 MP seats respectively.
Once again, KCR indicated that the Third Front would form the government in the national capital in the future. He is likely to use the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) and the National Register of Citizens (NRC) as a significant weapon to carry out his mission. The first step in this direction is going to be a meeting of KCR with like-minded parties in Hyderabad to discuss the fight against CAA and NRC. Even he has plans to hold a public meeting with 10 lakh people in Hyderabad to send a strong message to the leaders of Delhi.
KCR wants to bring all the anti-BJP parties on one platform and work together by advancing a common agenda to separate Modi from power. Chief Minister of Telangana, West Bengal CM Mamta Banerjee, AP CM YS Jaganmohan Reddy, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik, and DMK chiefs may come into contact with MK Stalin.
