The presence of a modern capital is a highly necessary thing for the development of a state. For example, Hyderabad is a capital that’s been highly instrumental to the growth of united Andhra Pradesh and, now, the state of Telangana. The city is the first option for any investors or potential revenue generators. With no proper capital in place for a state, this becomes an impossible thing.
This is the case for Andhra Pradesh right now. For better or for worse, Telugu Desam Party president Chandrababu Naidu, and the then Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, chose Amaravati as the capital of AP, aiming to make it a world-class capital and the hub of AP, where every and anyone would want to come and invest in, resulting in the development of a golden Andhra Pradesh.
After the YSRCP government came to power in 2019, though, everything drastically changed. With the introduction of the 3 Capital rule, and the decentralization bill, anyone who even thinks of investing in AP is now confused about where to make their investment, thus leaving AP in a huge crisis, where the main dent is to the development of the state, the lack of which has been greatly impacting the state for the last three years now.
