Ever since The Kashmir Files movie was released, director Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri is getting an opposing response from a section of people in society.
The latest news is that Centre has now provided the director with a Y-category security based on the perception of threat to Vivek Agnihotri after his film’s release. As per reports, the Central Reserve Police Force security will escort him across India.
Under the Y-category security, the director will be given a security cover of eight officers, which are likely to have two commandos and police personnel.
The Kashmir Files is based on the exodus of Kashmiri Hindus during the Kashmir insurgency in 1990. The film features Anupam Kher, Mithun Chakraborty, Pallavi Joshi, Darshan Kumaar, Chinmay Mandlekar, and Bhasha Sumbli. The movie, which is breaking several box office records, has crossed the Rs 100 crore mark in just 10 days of release.
