RK Sagar of Mogali Rekulu fame is back with a cop drama titled The 100. He plays a cop in the thriller directed by Raghav Omkar. The makers did not leave any stone unturned to keep the film in the news. The cop thriller is now out in theaters, and let’s review it here.
Story:
IPS office Vikranth(RK Sagar) takes charge of Hyderabad and is soon pushed into the case of a suicide. As he begins his investigation, Vikranth finds out that the pattern in which crime is being committed is not done by rookies and has a nexus behind it. How he cracks the case is the basic story of the film.
What about on-screen performances?
RK Sagar plays the tough cop, and he is very good in the film. His look and sold body only enhance his performance in the film, and Sagar does well in all the action sequences.
Misha Narang plays the female lead, and she was very good in her role. Though she is young, the way Misha showcased oppressed emotions needs to be appreciated.
For a change, Vishnu Priya gets a good role and has done well in the film. She is the main character and does well in her emotional role.
Thaarak Ponnappa of Pushpa plays a key role, and he looks quite stylish in the film. His character arc is good, and all his scenes in the climax are very good.
The rest of the supporting cast have done well in the setup. Their performances only enhance the film to a decent level.
What about off-screen performances?
Harsh Vardhan Rameshwar has composed the music, and his BGM is very good. Though it feels a bit loud at times, it works well when needed.
The production values are pretty good, and the way the cop setup and thrills are showcased is very good in the film.
Raghav Omkar has directed the film, and the best part is that he did not add over-the-top scenes just for the sake of it.
The hero does not overact or mouth mass dialogues just for the sake of it. He goes with the flow and allows his team to dominate.
The twist in the second half related to the heroine is very good and surprises the audience. This aspect is well executed by the director.
The film starts on a very interesting note, but slows down a bit later. Once it comes to the interval part, it picks up again neatly.
The second half is a bit predictable, and one knows who the main villain is in the setup. From there, things slow down a bit for the audience.

Verdict:
Overall, The 100 is a passable cop drama that has decent thrills executed in the right way. The emotions are decent, and the pace is also good. Just ignore a few glitches and predictable scenes in the second half, and you will end up liking the film.
