It is known that 21 Indian students from Telugu states were deported back to India after the immigration officials in the US found discrepancies in the students’ documents.
According to reports, the Customs and Border Protection authorities of the United States Atlanta, Chicago and San Francisco airports found some alleged discrepancies in the documents of the 21 students, who went from India. With this, the officials sent them back to India, with a said ban of 5 years from entering the US.
In response to this incident, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy instructed officials at the CMO to gather information about the deported students and assist them in getting a resolution for their problem.
The CM also suggested the officials get in touch with the Ministry of External Affairs in resolving this matter.
