The notification for the Panchayat elections in Telangana has been released on Saturday.
The State Election Commissioner Nagi Reddy said that the elections will be held in three phases for 538 ZPTCs and 5,817 MPTCs. While the first phase of the elections will be on May 6th, the second on May 6th and the third on May 14th.
Telangana Chief Minister KCR has already increased the pace, in selecting the right candidates so that the party emerges victorious in the Panchayat elections. The TRS party is aiming to win 33 ZP chairman posts. But the reports are rife that KCR is finding extremely tough to choose the right candidates. He has not even found a single candidate in reserved categories yet, the reports say.
Adding to it, 8 districts in the state are reserved only for women. Hence, the TS CM has reportedly decided to pick for the ZP chairman posts, the former MLAs and the candidates who got defeated earlier.
As a part of it, one of the TRS leaders, who requested for the anonymity, said that Putta Madhu, who lost in Manthani assembly and Chintha Prabhakar who lost in Sangareddy Assembly election could be picked as the ZP chairmen candidates for their respective districts and the allocation would be similar even for most of the other districts.
