Telangana Municipal elections are all set to happen soon. The reports are rife that the notification in this regard, is set to be out on the 4th of this month.
Though the municipal elections are supposed to be held in August, several petitions were filed complaining that there were irregularities in the voters list. After a fine scrutiny into such irregularities, the High Court has finally allowed the officials to conduct the elections now.
The municipal polls are likely to be held in two phases. In the first phase, the elections will be held in such municipalities, where there would be no legal hurdles. As some cases are pending against few municipalities, in such areas, the municipal elections will be held in the second phase, that too only when all the hurdles are cleared.
