The Telangana High Court has directed the state government to make its GO’s available to the public on the website within 24 hours of issuing them.
The HC today heard the plea filed against Dalit Bandhu implementation in the Vasalamarri area. A bench of Chief Justice Hima Kohli and Justice Vijayasen Reddy heard the petition filed by the Watch Voice of People organisation. The petitioner told the court that the funds were released to the Dalit Bandhu scheme without finalizing the terms of the scheme.
Responding to this, Advocate General (AG) Prasad said that the scheme is applicable to all Dalit families in the state and the rules have been finalized. In response, the court asked the petitioner why those provisions were not included in the petition. Shashikiran, counsel for the petitioner, told the court that the terms and conditions of the scheme were not available on the website.
The High Court questioned the state what was the difficulty in making the GO’s available to the public. The bench has directed the state to make them available to the public. The HC, which registered the AG’s explanation, to this extent concluded the hearing on the petition filed against Dalit Bandhu.
