The number of Covid cases in Telangana have been rising at an alarming rate and the state government is planning to impose a few restrictions to curb the spread of the virus.
Incidentally, the state government is on course to restrict the occupancy in movie theatres.
Reports claim the Telangana government will be imposing the 50% occupancy regulation starting from this week itself.
A few low-budget Telugu films including Ishq – Not A Love Story, Ek Mini Katha, and others are gearing up for release in the next couple of weeks. The 50% occupancy norm might affect the box office returns of these films.
The chief minister of Telangana K Chandrasekhar Rao has already received the proposal for restricted seating arrangements in movie theaters. He will take the final call an make an official announcement in the next couple of days.
Andhra Pradesh government is yet to decide on restricted seating arrangements.
