DGP Mahender Reddy on Saturday unveiled the song ‘Police, Police … Telangana Police, Pranam Panche Manasunna Police’ penned by film lyricist Ananth Sriram, composed and sung by renowned music director MM Keeravani.
Keeravani was present at the song launch event at the DGP’s office on Saturday. On the occasion, the DGP said that the release of the song was a coincidence of the Police flag Day celebrations held from the 21st to the 31st of this month.
Mahender Reddy lauded the services rendered by the police for inspiring them while throwing light on the difficulties faced by the police in performing duty. The DGP said, “This wonderfully exemplifies, how many people can come with us if we work hard.”
He shared his happiness for the thoughtful tribute by Keeravani and Anantha Sriram in observance of Police flag day celebrations.
Keeravani said that the day highlighting ‘Rakshaka Devobhava’ like ‘Matru Devobhava’, Pitru and Acharya Devobhava’ would soon come in the near future. He recalled his first event at the age of nine was given on Police Remembrance Day in Raichur. The song ‘Isthunna Pranam Mee Kosam’ was composed and sung by him by dedicating to DGPs and aristocrats in 1998.
