The new motor vehicles act which came into effect from September 1st, is not only troubling the regular commuters, but also the police officials. Surprisingly, Telangana DGP Mahendar Reddy was fined for violating the traffic rules in the City.
The traffic police was recently informed about a vehicle, that had been passing in the wrong route in Sangareddy. Right after registering the complaint, the traffic police began tracing the owner of the vehicle and had to face a shock of life after knowing that it belongs to the DGP.
As the complaint is already taken, the traffic cops issued a challan of Rs. 1135 and sent it to his residence. If this is the case with the police, then the consequences are expected to be much harsher on the normal public.
There is a severe criticism from all the sides on the new motor vehicles act. Even the celebrities like Shruti Ramakrishna went against the government, opining that it would be a heavy burden on the common public. But the government is strictly asking to follow the rules, to avoid any such fines.
