The Telangana government has completed the caste census in the state, and the statistics were presented by chief minister Revanth Reddy in the assembly yesterday.
According to the statistics, here is the caste wise population in Telangana.
BCs: 1,64,09,179 (46.25%)
•SCs: 61,84,319 (17.43%)
•STs: 37,05,929 (10.45%)
•Muslims: 44,57,012 (12.56%)
-BC Muslims: 35,76,588 (10.08%)
-OC Muslims: 8,80,424 (2.48%)
•other OCs: 44,21,115 (13.31%),
however, BRS working president and operational opposition leader, KTR had a strong opinion against this program.
After taking part in yesterday’s assembly session and debating the matter, KTR wrote today that “Yesterday’s Assembly session clarified two things to the people of Telangana – the disastrous government that has no clarity and the lies you shamelessly peddled in the name of BC Declaration!
While the government is clueless on the data that was presented yesterday, it is clear that you never ever had the intention to even work towards a 42 percent BC reservation
The stark U-turn by your Congress government and then shamelessly passing on the buck to the central government clearly shows how committed you are
