The Telangana cabinet has been called in for a meeting tomorrow (Monday), at Pragathi Bhavan, at 2 in the afternoon, to discuss the current covid situation in the state. The meeting is to be chaired by Chief Minister KCR, who will discuss the steps to be taken in the state, to curb the spread of Omicron and Covid in the state.
In view of the rising number of cases in the state, which have seen a sharp increase in the last week, extended holidays have already been declared for educational institutions till 30th January. It is now being said that the cabinet might decide upon imposing weekend curfews and night curfews in the state after the meeting.
The night curfews are expected to be put in effect on all days, and day curfews are expected to be put in place on weekends. It is also to be seen if the cabinet would consider a lockdown in the coming days, if the situation gets worse, and what other measures would be taken.
