The poster, which featured the Arjun Reddy actor in a naked look, was loved by his fans. But some anti-fans started trolling the actor on social media platforms, arguing that the makers of the film are promoting nudity.
Now, the movie team has come up with an explanation for designing and releasing this poster. By now, everyone knows that Liger is based on a boxing backdrop and Vijay Deverakonda will be seen as a professional fighter.
Well, the people who follow fighting leagues like UFC should be aware that the weight of a fighter is measured with no clothes on him, before enrolling him into the competition. The organisers don’t even put a pile of yarn on the contestant’s body so that they can measure accurate weight with no error. The poster was released against this backdrop. Somehow, the movie has commercial elements, so it naturally has a love story. Hence, the makers symbolically represented it with rose flowers in it. However, the explanation of the movie team seems appropriate and anti-fans can get enlightened by it.
