This TDP’s top most leader enjoyed all the power being the minister in the last tenure and now for an year and half he hasn’t been visible anywhere on the scene. He is the former minister Pratipati Pulla Rao. When he was a minister, he happened to be the king of the Chilakaluripet constituency of Guntur district and created a wave all over the district as well.
Now after the party’s disastrous performance in the polls and his defeat, he has been hiding out. Now, with the capital Amaravati as its center, the TDP has staged a number of protests over the past year. However, no such event was reported with his participation. The former minister has not yet participated in the Zoom App conferences organized by Chandrababu Naidu with the leaders.
No one understands whether he is in touch with the party leaders or the district leaders. Finally the information is that even the leaders in the constituency are nowhere to be seen. The talk in the constituency is that he has been maintaining a low profile to get saved from the cases registered against him.
He introduced the concept of Village Malls during the TDP regime. Even though the concept failed, the money was circulated. The allegations are being investigated as soon as the YCP comes to power and the trial is nearing. In addition, the purchase of cotton by the Cotton Corporation of India (CCI) amounted to Rs. 300 crore corruption has almost been confirmed.
The CBI did probe into the allegations and also found evidence of alleged corruption. For the similar reasons, he has been spending his time in the hideout as Atchennaidu and Kollu Ravindra were arrested a few weeks back. Some people said that he would make his way to YSRCP. At one stage, it was reported that Prathipati was not going to join the YCP but to join the BJP.
However, he has not joined any party so far and is also not active in TDP. So, how long it takes before we have a peek at this former minister.
