In the wake of the brutal murder of TDP leader Thota Chandraiah of Macharla constituency in Guntur district, which became a huge sensation in Andhra Pradesh, the TDP released a list of the members of its party, who were murdered after the YSRCP came to power in May 2019.
According to the list that’s been released by the TDP on Friday, as many as 33 TDP leaders and party workers were brutally murdered in the past 32-month rule of the YSRCP government. Of these members, the TDP said that 20 belonged to the weaker sections and that most of the murders were committed in the Palnadu region of the Guntur district.
TDP National President, and former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister, Nara Chandrababu Naidu has written several letters to AP DGP Gautam Sawang on the issue, asking him to take the necessary action against the perpetrators of these murders. The TDP is also expected to approach various forums including the National Human Rights Commission seeking action against the YSRCP government. Furthermore, the TDP is also reportedly planning to take up an extensive campaign at the national level to bring to the notice of all the political parties in the country about the murder politics of the YSRCP government.
