Less than a week for the elections to commence, and still the major parties of Andhra Pradesh-TDP and YSRCP haven’t revealed the election manifesto yet.
It seems, both the parties are playing the waiting game, to check their opponent’s manifesto, so that they can replicate or increase the good things in their manifesto.
But as Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has not yet responded anything related to manifesto, YSRCP Chief Jagan Mohan Reddy has announced to release their party manifesto tomorrow, on the occasion of Telugu new year Ugadi. Jagan will be releasing the manifesto, in his party’s headquarters in AP capital city Amaravathi, after performing the basic pooja formalities.
The third bigger political party in AP, Janasena has already released its party manifesto, offering many sops to the farmers, poor people, unemployed youth. Pawan Kalyan’s party manifesto was well prepared and it was appreciated big time by the political experts.
There were several innovative and never before heard schemes like pension to the farmers etc, that attracted a large section of public. Having seeing the response for Janasena’s manifesto, it should be seen whether YSRCP manifesto gets influenced by it in any manner.
After analysing the manifestos of two major opponents-YSRCP and Janasena, Naidu reportedly will then come up with the better manifesto for TDP. As there are no star campaigners in the party, like the party had in the last two assembly elections, Naidu is not in a position to take a chance this time.
While a few are terming it as a safe game by the AP CM, that’s the least one can do, to retain the government and there’s nothing wrong on it, as at the end of the day, the better sops, would eventually benefit the public in large, along with the TDP retaining the government.
