Former TDP minister Ayyanna Patrudu got a huge relief in the Andhra Pradesh High Court. The HC has given a key judgment that Section 467, which carries a punishment of over ten years, is not applicable in this case.
The court said that it has come to this decision after examining the basic aspects. The High Court clarified that the NOC given by the officials of the Water Resources Department does not come under the definition of valuable documents. The CID has been directed to follow the guidelines given by the Supreme Court in the Arnesh Kumar case.
The High Court ordered to issue notices to Ayyanna Patrudu under 41A of CrPC and said that a CID inquiry can be held.
