The YSRCP and the TDP, the rival political parties of Andhra Pradesh, seem to be facing similar problems, according to the latest reports. Both the parties are trying their best to win the confidence of the people, and are trying very hard for it, given that the 2024 elections are just two years away.
While they are giving it their best shot, both the parties are said to be suffering from the problem of political heirs. Noted politicians are said to be coaxing the parties to give tickets to their wards instead of giving it to them. In some areas, more than one ward is said to be showing up, which is said to be creating a lot of problems for them.
TDP chief Chandrababu faced a major hurdle in the last elections, where he gave most of the tickets to younger politicians. He lost out on all those seats and is reportedly being careful. On the other hand, Jagan is said to have told everyone that while some tickets would be given to one ward, the other ward would have to help in the campaign and that the latter ward would be given the ticket during the next elections. While the TDP is said to be considering this option as well, it is now to be seen what will happen in the end.
