Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy recently wrote a letter to the Chief Justice of India (CJI), explaining the violations of constitution and democracy by the judiciary in Andhra Pradesh. Following Jagan’s letter to the CJI, there has been a lot of criticism that has been aimed at the act, especially by the oppositions.
Former Finance Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu, of TDP, has said that it is a very ironic thing that Jagan is the one to right letters about constitution and democratic violations to the CJI, when he himself is the biggest abuser of both of those institutions. Stating that Jagan is the A1 in 12 chargesheets of the CBI and 5 chargesheets of the ED, Ramakrishnudu said that he has never seen an accused person write letters to the CJI, about the way the judiciary and the judges of the state/country are working.
In its affidavit pertaining to Jagan’s case, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has stated that the AP CM indulged in Rs. 43,000 Cr corruption, the proceedings of which will be taking place on a daily basis from tomorrow, October 12th. Ramakrishnudu also stated that the ED had previously attached Rs. 4,000 Crores worth property belonging to Jagan, in its own affidavit.
Ramakrishnudu even said that a person like Jagan – who misuses his power for selfish reasons, and who is a highly corrupt person – has no moral right to write a letter to the CJI, and has also said that any letter that Jagan writes to the CJI should not even be taken into consideration. Ramakrishnudu also said that Jagan wrote this letter only to undermine the pwoer of lower authorities of the Judiciary, and to try and get whatever he wants done.
Furthermore, Ramakrishnudu said that the High Court and its Judges were absolutely right in issuing a stay order on the CRDA Repeal Bill, which violates the rights of all the farmers of Amaravati who gave away thousands of acres of lands for the construction of the Capital.
